CAO Flathead V860 Resonator Cigars: What to Expect
CAO is a name many cigar smokers trust, and CAO Flathead V860 Resonator Cigars shows why. It measures 8 x 60 and is finished in a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Each cigar is made in Nicaragua. It is a great pick whether you are building your humidor or sharing a box with friends.
About the Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapper
Connecticut Broadleaf is a dark, thick leaf that is often used for Maduro cigars, adding natural sweetness with earthy, cocoa-like depth. The wrapper accounts for a large share of a cigar’s flavor, so it is a good guide to what CAO Flathead V860 Resonator Cigars will taste like.
How to Cut and Light CAO Flathead V860 Resonator Cigars
- Use a sharp guillotine or punch cutter to remove a thin slice of the cap. Cut just above the line where the cap meets the wrapper.
- Toast the foot gently with a butane lighter or cedar spill, holding the flame just below the tobacco.
- Rotate the cigar while drawing lightly until the foot glows evenly.
- Take slow puffs, about one per minute, so the cigar burns cool and the flavor stays smooth.
Storing CAO Flathead V860 Resonator Cigars
Premium cigars stay at their best at around 65 to 70% relative humidity and 65 to 70°F. Keep your CAO Flathead V860 Resonator Cigars in a cigar humidor or a sealed container with a humidity pack. Cigars stored too dry can crack and burn hot, while cigars kept too moist can burn unevenly. A well-kept box will stay fresh for months.
Who Will Enjoy This Cigar?
this cigar works well for a wide range of smokers, from those still exploring premium cigars to seasoned enthusiasts who want a dependable, well-made cigar for regular rotation.
Pairing Ideas
- Coffee or cappuccino
- Bourbon, whiskey or rum
- Red wine or an amber ale
Pairing is personal, so try this cigar with a few of these and note what you enjoy. Sip water between puffs to refresh your palate.
Premium Cigars vs. Machine-Made Cigars
Premium cigars like this cigar are made with long-filler tobacco, meaning whole leaves that run the length of the cigar, and are finished with a natural tobacco wrapper. This gives a slower, cooler burn and more complex flavor than machine-made cigars, which use shorter cut tobacco. Looking for something quicker and more casual? Browse our cigars and cigarillos.
