Quorum Shade Short Robusto Cigars: What to Expect
Quorum is a name many cigar smokers trust, and Quorum Shade Short Robusto Cigars shows why. This Robusto and is finished in a Connecticut wrapper. Expect a medium body. It is a great pick whether you are building your humidor or sharing a box with friends.
About the Connecticut Wrapper
Connecticut-seed wrappers are known for a light color and a smooth, creamy, approachable flavor. The wrapper accounts for a large share of a cigar’s flavor, so it is a good guide to what Quorum Shade Short Robusto Cigars will taste like.
Why Choose the Robusto Shape?
The Robusto is one of the most popular shapes in the world: short and thick, usually around 5 inches long with a ring gauge near 50, delivering full flavor in under an hour.
How to Cut and Light Quorum Shade Short Robusto Cigars
- Use a sharp guillotine or punch cutter to remove a thin slice of the cap. Cut just above the line where the cap meets the wrapper.
- Toast the foot gently with a butane lighter or cedar spill, holding the flame just below the tobacco.
- Rotate the cigar while drawing lightly until the foot glows evenly.
- Take slow puffs, about one per minute, so the cigar burns cool and the flavor stays smooth.
Storing Quorum Shade Short Robusto Cigars
Premium cigars stay at their best at around 65 to 70% relative humidity and 65 to 70°F. Keep your Quorum Shade Short Robusto Cigars in a cigar humidor or a sealed container with a humidity pack. Cigars stored too dry can crack and burn hot, while cigars kept too moist can burn unevenly. A well-kept box will stay fresh for months.
Who Will Enjoy This Cigar?
this cigar suits smokers who prefer a smooth, mellow cigar. It is an easy recommendation for newer cigar smokers, a relaxed morning smoke with coffee, or anyone who likes creamy, gentle flavors over heavy spice.
Pairing Ideas
- Morning coffee or a latte
- Light rum or a crisp white wine
- Sweet tea or sparkling water
Pairing is personal, so try this cigar with a few of these and note what you enjoy. Sip water between puffs to refresh your palate.
Premium Cigars vs. Machine-Made Cigars
Premium cigars like this cigar are made with long-filler tobacco, meaning whole leaves that run the length of the cigar, and are finished with a natural tobacco wrapper. This gives a slower, cooler burn and more complex flavor than machine-made cigars, which use shorter cut tobacco. Looking for something quicker and more casual? Browse our cigars and cigarillos.
