Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro Churchill Cigars: What to Expect
Romeo Y Julieta is a name many cigar smokers trust, and Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro Churchill Cigars shows why. This Churchill measures 7 x 50 and is finished in a Maduro wrapper. Each cigar is made in the Dominican Republic. Expect a medium body. It is a dependable choice for a relaxing evening, a celebration or an everyday smoke.
About the Maduro Wrapper
Maduro wrappers are fermented longer to develop a dark color and naturally sweet, rich flavors such as cocoa, coffee and dark fruit. The wrapper accounts for a large share of a cigar’s flavor, so it is a good guide to what Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro Churchill Cigars will taste like.
Why Choose the Churchill Shape?
The Churchill is a long, elegant cigar, traditionally around 7 inches with a medium ring gauge, made for a relaxed, unhurried smoke. This one measures 7 x 50 (length in inches x ring gauge in 64ths of an inch).
How to Cut and Light Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro Churchill Cigars
- Use a sharp guillotine or punch cutter to remove a thin slice of the cap. Cut just above the line where the cap meets the wrapper.
- Toast the foot gently with a butane lighter or cedar spill, holding the flame just below the tobacco.
- Rotate the cigar while drawing lightly until the foot glows evenly.
- Take slow puffs, about one per minute, so the cigar burns cool and the flavor stays smooth.
Storing Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro Churchill Cigars
Premium cigars stay at their best at around 65 to 70% relative humidity and 65 to 70°F. Keep your Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro Churchill Cigars in a cigar humidor or a sealed container with a humidity pack. Cigars stored too dry can crack and burn hot, while cigars kept too moist can burn unevenly. A well-kept box will stay fresh for months.
Who Will Enjoy Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro Churchill Cigars?
this cigar is a strong match for experienced smokers who enjoy rich, bold flavors. Its depth makes it a satisfying after-dinner cigar, and it holds up well alongside a strong drink.
Pairing Ideas
- Espresso or dark roast coffee
- Bourbon, aged rum or a tawny port
- A stout or dark beer
Pairing is personal, so try this cigar with a few of these and note what you enjoy. Sip water between puffs to refresh your palate.
Premium Cigars vs. Machine-Made Cigars
Premium cigars like this cigar are made with long-filler tobacco, meaning whole leaves that run the length of the cigar, and are finished with a natural tobacco wrapper. This gives a slower, cooler burn and more complex flavor than machine-made cigars, which use shorter cut tobacco. Looking for something quicker and more casual? Browse our cigars and cigarillos.
