Packing your pipe
Fill the bowl loosely and press lightly, add a second layer a little firmer, then a firm top layer that springs back a bit. Light the top evenly, tamp it down and relight. Slow puffs keep the bowl cool.
Storing it
Keep it sealed in the bag, or move it to an airtight jar once it’s open, and store it at room temperature out of the sun. Too dry and it burns hot, too moist and it’s hard to keep lit.
